Varietal/Blend: Syrah (60%) and Gamay (40%)

Vineyard Area: Gamay from Saint-Joseph and Syrah from the Drome— average age of vines is 25 years.

Soil: Granite-based sandy gravel and alluvial soils

Elevation: Gamay: 290 meters Syrah: 150 meters

Vinification: Hand-picked and total de-stemming with no crushing. Short cold maceration before temperature-controlled fermentation and 11 days of maceration with pumping over.

Maturation: Stainless steel

Vineyard Area: From the steep plot in the heart of St. Joseph — vines are 30 years old.

Soil: Schist and gneiss

Elevation: 300 meters and steeply sloped

Exposure: East

Vinification: The harvested grapes are destemmed but not crushed. After a cold pre-fermentation maceration, fermentation lasts for around 25 days maceration. Daily punching of the cap.

Maturation: Aged for one year, 40% in barrels and the remainder in stainless steel

Vineyard Area: From atop a later ripening hillside called Les Rieux — vines are planted at 7000 vines/ha and an average of ten years old.

Soil: Granite and saprolite (weathered, clay-rich rock) with soft schist

Vinification: The harvested grapes are destemmed but not crushed. We carry out a cold pre-fermentation maceration and then launch the alcoholic fermentation. Maceration continues for 28 days with daily cap-punching operations.

Maturation: 18 months in barrel
